Why I Moved Out Of Boston

Same sex marriage is wrong

Two years ago, I moved my family out of Boston. At that time, if you had asked me why I quit my job and sold my house, I would have muttered something about money. It’s true that Boston is expensive. But that’s not the real reason I left. I moved out because of gay marriage. Boston, Massachusetts is the new Sodom and Gomorrah.

Right now some people are like, “Jimmy, what’s a matter? You afraid of fire and brimstone?”

No, I’m not afraid of fire and brimstone. I’m afraid of the knock at the door.

Look to the original story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible’s book of Genesis, chapter 19. Two angels sent by God went into the city to see if it was as sinful as was reported. Abraham’s nephew Lot saw the two and invited them into his home. But once they got there, all the men of the town surrounded the house. They wanted to gay marry the visitors.

Is that the kind of knock on the door that you want? I don’t. That’s why I moved out of Boston. As a society becomes more wicked, it pushes God out of its life. Without knowledge of God, people lose their ability to reason. They become brute beasts who think of nothing except to satisfy their sexually perverted urges.

And so the Angels dragged Lot out of town and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone. In a way that was kind of a mercy killing. Like a dog catcher putting down a rabid dog. He can’t hurt himself anymore and he can’t infect others.

Right now some people are horrified. They’re like, “Jimmy, I’m a Christian. I have a real heart for Boston. I pray every day that God sends revival. Shame on you for saying such nasty, hateful things about gays!”

Oh, aren’t you a pillar of faith!

You know what? You remind me of Lot. He’s sitting there in his house, surrounded by gay rapists, and the two angels are telling him to leave, but he dilly dallies. Maybe he was praying for revival.

As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city.” But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. And as they brought them out, one said, “Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away.”
Genesis 19:15–17

Massachusetts was founded by Puritan Christians almost 400 years ago. Its capital city, Boston, is filled with wicked smart people. Yet these people have rejected God. How are you, me, or anyone going to reason with them to unreject God? You can’t. Like I said, God gives us our very ability to reason.

And so all these brainiacs in Boston can’t find a reason to not enact gay marriage, and so they do. They ignore divine revelation, human history, and the nature of reality. Gay marriage is a sign of nothing more than total depravity.

Flashback

I remember that day two years ago when the truck pulled away with all our belongings. We did one last walk through of our house, and I paused for a moment with my family on the front steps. The hectic moments of selling a house and moving everything out were over. Now we just took a moment in the sunshine of the New England springtime to reflect on all the memories we had living in that house.

In the sweetness of that moment, I started second guessing if I was doing the right thing. I didn’t have a job and we hadn’t even decided what state to move to. (I was thinking either Texas or Tennessee.)

But then a silver van drove by that suddenly reaffirmed by decision to get out of Boston.

You see that silver van was driven by a pedophile who was stalking my kids. You may be wondering how I came to know that. He was a sunday school teacher at a church I attended. I actually left that church because they ordained women ministers and allowed single, obviously pedophile men to teach sunday school. But this guy kept driving by my house in that silver van and as far as I know he had no business being on my street.

Right now some people are like, “Jimmy, this is so typical of churches to have pedophile priests and sunday school teachers. Pedophilia has nothing to do with gay marriage.”

I forgot to tell you one thing. This silver van was a school bus. It was one of those short buses. This guy, who I think was a pedophile, became a sunday school teacher because the church lacked discernment. He also was able to get a job driving a school bus because the government lacks discernment.

Gay marriage shows that the society has no ability to discern right from wrong. I’m not going to stay in a city where me and my family will be harmed by the unrighteous recklessness around me.

Yes, God rescued Lot from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. But the question is, was he really saved? He lost his wife when she looked back and became a pillar of salt. Then his daughters, products of the public school system, got Lot drunk and got themselves pregnant by him.

Why would I want to ruin my family pretending to save a city which God has dedicated to destruction?

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,
“Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;
for her sins are heaped high as heaven,
and God has remembered her iniquities.
Pay her back as she herself has paid back others,
and repay her double for her deeds;
mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.
As she glorified herself and lived in luxury,
so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,
since in her heart she says,
‘I sit as a queen,
I am no widow,
and mourning I shall never see.’
For this reason her plagues will come in a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and she will be burned up with fire;
for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
Revelation 18:4–8
