When we talk about Barack Obama rising to power, we talk about the election of 2008, or the inauguration of 2009, or maybe even his speech at the DNC in 2004.
But Barack Obama is a tree. His seed was planted a long time ago. That seed was first planted when we removed the Ten Commandments from our schools and public places. If we abided by the words of the Ten Commandments, we would not have voted into power the destructive president Barack Obama.
Some people right now are like, “Jimmy, why are you going on and on about Barack Obama? Are you attacking him?”
Well, the truth is, I’m trying to preach God’s Word. This isn’t meant to be a stinging indictment for one man, because we live in a representative government. Barack Obama represents us. He is the embodiment of our ideals. And his ideals run contrary to the Ten Commandments. You probably don’t even know what the Ten Commandments are because they were removed from our public buildings by a ruling from a court who used to sit in front of the Ten Commandments.
One of the Ten Commandments is, “Thou shalt not covet, neither your neighbor’s ass nor his wife.” (Bible, page 135)
Now the neighbor’s ass is a symbol of wealth. Barack Obama rose to power stoking the covetousness of every American against the wealthy. The truth is, no American thinks of himself as wealthy. Well, I’m sure you can find an example of a handful of Americans who can self-identify as being rich. Every other American thinks of himself as normal, and somewhere out there is some insidious rich guy. They don’t even know who he is specifically, but they foster an intense covetousness toward everything that he has.
We don’t have all that we want, and the Bible says why. What we want, we want to use for our own pleasures, and we’re willing to kill and steal to get it. And that’s what’s happening.
Another of the Ten Commandments is, “Thou shalt not steal.” (Bible, page 135)
The tax policies of the Democrats, Barack Obama, and now America are those that steal from people. Confiscatory taxes are theft. The Bible says, “Dishonest weights and dishonest measures, the Lord detests them both.” (Bible, page 556) Would that it were justice truly blind, then we would have a fair tax policy.
Because we don’t, we have an organization of theft in the United States.
The Bible also says, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Bible, page 135)
The God of America is a vague ideal of tolerance and niceness. It’s one that seeks to cover up every symbolic demonstration of the Christian faith. Barack Obama covered up the name of Jesus during his speech at Georgetown University earlier this year. But he appeases and submits to the demonic power of Islam. I’m certain that our forefathers never intended for our freedom of religion to be given to a violent religion.
Now some of you are saying, “Jimmy, the Bible also says, ‘Thou shalt honor the Sabbath and keep it holy.’ Do you think that we should observe that one?” (Bible, page 135)
Yes, we should. To the original bearers of the Ten Commandments, the Sabbath was a day. It began Friday night at sundown, and ended Saturday night at sundown. Jesus was executed on Friday, and laid in a tomb before sundown. He was in that tomb all Friday night, and Saturday day and night. On Sunday morning, the tomb was empty.
Jesus Christ IS the Sabbath. What was once a day is now a man. And that man for us can be our rest from our sin and our struggle with sin. Honor the Sabbath and keep it holy.
I will. Will you?
